RB’s new Centre for Scientific Excellence in Hull aims to create a collaborative environment, the right support systems and a workplace that will enable people to thrive and fuse together world class science and technology.
The highly sustainable building will house a
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) health
development facility to support the creation
and testing of cutting-edge consumer health
innovations.
A suite of new laboratories will enable
healthcare scientists to carry out formulation
optimisation at the bench. New facilities for
analytical and microbiology teams housing
the latest equipment, which will allow them
to provide supportive data during both the
product development and stability phases.
New stability testing suites, one of the largest
in Europe, will enable better performance
evaluation of development products up to 3
years after manufacture.
A large Pilot Plant facility will complement
this allowing scale up studies, 1/10 scale
manufacturing for regulatory submissions
and preparation of clinical trial material.
