The projects cover a range of services and scope, including consideration of the building fabric, services upgrade, sustainability improvements and the extension of existing built facilities – these included refurbishment of squash courts, swimming pools, changing areas, receptions, administration offices, and cafeterias.

Integral to this was the introduction of new facilities for disabled users in accordance with ‘Sport England’ guidelines, whilst creating a modern vibrant environment for use by the general public and local groups.

Projects were phased over a 3 year period and included consideration of whole life cycle costs as well as maintenance backlog works.
