We are pleased to announce that one of FDG’s associate director architects, Rick Sharp, is now a Certified Passive House Consultant having successfully passed the examination set by the Passive House Institute.

Rick now has the acquired knowledge and relevant experience for designing and planning buildings with a heating demand of just a tenth of that of average existing buildings. Rick has long been passionate about sustainable architecture and uses his expertise in timber architecture and offsite construction to design remarkable buildings that can minimise their impact on or even positively contribute to their local environment.   

Despite the name, Passive House principles can be applied to all building types to achieve significant energy savings and reduce carbon emissions.
