Announced at a glittering awards ceremony at York Racecourse as part of the 2017 S-Labs Conference, the GlaxoSmithKline Centre for Sustainable Chemistry has been named Physical Sciences Building of the Year. The project, which completed in September 2016, has provided the University of Nottingham with access to world-class laboratories and teaching facilities within a striking timber framed building. Designed and built to the highest levels of sustainability, it is expected to be the UK’s first carbon neutral laboratory.
