Mortlock House is an existing vacant office building located on a self-contained site at the entrance to Vision Park, within the village of Histon. Vision Park is a market leading business park situated approximately 2 miles to the north of Cambridge city centre.

The project brief has been to convert the 30,000sqft vacant office into state of the art production and R&D facilities for their protein Bioprinter. The scope of the project has included the refurbishment of the façade, roof and full plant replacement. Internally, the building has been stripped back to the structure with a full fit-out including new services infrastructure.

Timescales for the project are such that the architectural team has worked closely with the contractor to develop the design in parallel with procuring the trade packages and commencing on site.
