The site was of the outset a mixture of redundant semi-industrial buildings and the partially flooded floating hotel. In clearance of this but with careful respect for the historical waterfront, a new marina was achieved, supported by retirement living accommodation to high standards, a quality supermarket, restaurant and refurbished existing retail.

The development revitalises the area of waterfront and allows consideration of adjacent areas to be considered for regeneration.

The centre comprises:

• 56 Extra Care retirement apartments
• 325m2 destination Waterfront Restaurant
• 930m2 retail unit with 208 car parking spaces
• Associated landscaping and carparking
