We are pleased to announce that the latest phase of development at Alderley Park has been given outline planning consent by Cheshire East Council. The scheme will see Bruntwood SciTech deliver two new buildings for lab and office space at Alderley Park in Cheshire, totalling around 200,000 sq ft.
FDG provided architectural services for one of the proposed new buildings which will house state-of-the-art CL2 lab space alongside flexible, dynamic office space purpose built to attract life sciences, healthcare and technology companies.
The plans support the development of the UK’s largest single-site life science campus, which is already home to over 250 companies, and will facilitate up to 1,600 new life science and tech jobs in the region. The developments will be the first newly built commercial spaces to be delivered since Bruntwood SciTech acquired the site in 2014.
Dr Kath Mackay, Director of Life Sciences, Bruntwood SciTech said: “We’re excited to embark on the next chapter at Alderley Park and support the continued growth of the life sciences sector in the UK. Today’s outcome marks a huge milestone for the Park and highlights our commitment to providing best-in-class life sciences facilities to support science and technology businesses across the nation.”
