The Biological Science Technology and Research building will provide 9,500 m2 of laboratory, small scale up and digital facilities to enable cutting-edge research and development (R&D) into sustainable food production, addressing global challenges around food security.
This centre of excellence for our client at their International Research Centre, on the site of a former greenhouse. It will replace existing ageing facilities at the site and will be used by scientists already employed.
The Facility will create stimulating environments that will encourage collaboration between users across their scientific disciplines.
The R&D facilities will be able to flex and adapt over time to the changing requirements of Syngenta’s research.
The centre comprises:-
– Flexible primary and secondary R&D space
– Health and wellbeing spaces, including sensory calming room, facilities to promote cycling, good levels of natural light and a variety of external workspaces.
– Townhall space
– External work spaces and amphitheatre
– Planting and hard landscaping will work together with the changes in level to create a strong connection,
