Full Architectural and Interior Design Services RIBA Stages A - L.

This project involved the design of a new style of laboratory, to accommodate both the expanding biotech companies from the adjacent highly successful Biosciences Incubator and also laboratory facilities for the University in an integrated research environment. The building provides modular flexible laboratory accommodation, on a multi-let basis, to three different levels of fit-out, so as to cater for all needs.
The facilities are intended to support Medtech, Biotech, Cleartech, Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, Manufacturing and office based functions.
The 16,000 sqm building includes: 200 sqm fitted out laboratories, 200-500 sqm semi-fitted ‘flexilabs’, 500 sqm shell “flexilabs” for future fit out, bioinformatics suite, offices / conference / meeting facilities with interaction areas, atrium / street circulation space, basement car park & 2 floors for the University of Manchester’s Functional Biology Department.
