The National Horizons Centre (NHC) is a catalyst for growth in the UK bioscience sector and specialises in providing Bio-industries improved skills in the application of digital technologies in advance manufacturing. NHC is Teesside University’s second building on the new Darlington Campus. The building’s square form and roof are its defining features .The building is carefully orientated to create new public spaces and to circumnavigate students and the public around the campus. For a modestly sized (Bio-Science) facility the NHC has a high visual impact befitting its regional and national Importance.The brick colonnade wraps around the building on all sides presenting an attractive face in every direction including the Education Campus to the north; the Science & Innovation Park to the south and Central Park North neighbours to the east.

The centre comprises:

– 3000sq.m GIA laboratory and office accommodation

– 3000sq.m GIA laboratory and office accommodation– ERDF, LGF and TU funded.

– BREEAM Excellent (aspiration).
