The scheme incorporates external and internal artificial pitches, the latter covered by a full span steel space frame roof structure, with external and internal viewing balconies running the length of the pitches.

The pitches are accessed from a central point at ground floor along a spine corridor, off which all changing rooms, medical treatment rooms and kit stores are located. Inspirational graphics line the players’ route.

Surface and foul water is collected on site and filtered through a reed bed lagoon, to increase the ecological merit of the site.
