FDG are delighted to have been appointed as Architects to Oxford BioMedica, for the refurbishment and conversion of their newly purchased building in Oxford, into state of the art pharmaceutical research laboratories and associated offices.
Janine Hames has joined FDG as the new Head of their Interior Design Department. This follows 12 years at the healm of her successful consultancy specialising in high end residential fit-out, with 6 years spent in the Middle East. Tim Bramley will move to a new role to promote the company's increasing knowledge in sustainable, low carbon interior design.

The new 20,000 sq ft headquarters for Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) in Warrington city centre, designed by The Fairhursts Design Group, has officially been opened by Warrington Mayor, Peter Carey. Developed on a brownfield site next to Bank Park, the £3m project involved the construction of a Cat B, three storey office block, which will be home to 180 GGHT staff previously located at various locations in Warrington.
Fairhursts secures planning permission for Space Technology Centre, at the Harwell Oxford Science Campus. The facility, being developed on behalf of the Science and Technology Facilities Council, will form part of the wider UK Space Gateway masterplan at Harwell and will provide a new home for the RAL Space Directorate, making them the premier facility for space instrument construction in Europe.
FDG Client Services have been appointed on the new £55m Gateway Project announced by the University of Salford. The commission is for the duration of the 19 month construction period, to be undertaken by BAM Construction.

H2O Urban, has completed the first phase of Hayhurst Quay in Northwich, a 4.6 acre scheme designed by FDG, with the opening of a new 27,000 sq ft Waitrose supermarket.

On Thursday 14 July The Fairhursts Design Group were pleased to welcome over 125 guests to a party to celebrate the official opening of their new Head Office at 55 King Street in Manchester. The guest of honour was Sir Howard Bernstein who spoke about Fairhursts' long and illustrious history in Manchester and wished them a prosperous future in working throughout the UK and Europe, as well as new ventures in the UAE, Pakistan and China.
THE Prime Minister visited the FDG designed building and hailed Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus as a key to future economic growth as he launched the new Government Enterprise Zone at the development.
Coventry's multi-million pound Manufacturing Technology Centre will officially open next month after more than a year of building work. Staff have finally moved into the long-awaited FDG designed facility at Ansty Park, which is the result of a £40 million joint investment from Advantage West Midlands and the East Midlands Development Agency.
