The full refurbishment of the reception area; lift lobbies, WC's and 1st floor CAT A office at No.3 Piccadilly Place, Manchester. The concept was largely derived from the buildings awarded a platinum certification. Wired Certification is a commercial real estate rating system that empowers landlords to understand, improve, and promote their buildings’ digital infrastructure. Using their logo and the buildings new branding for inspiration, we adapted the idea of ‘connection’ throughout the design scheme: Wired, connected & switched on.
The ‘connected lines’ we incorporated into the floor finishes, timber raft ceiling, graphics and architectural lighting to subtly promote the certification and tie the whole scheme together. This feature lighting gives the reception area a sense of identity, as it’s now visible from across the piazza.
